Indian cricket selectors named wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni as one-day captain on Tuesday after Rahul Dravid abruptly quit the job last week, television channels reported.
The 26-year-old, captain at the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa, will lead the team for the home one-day series against Australia starting in September.
